An Introduction (get ready for it)

Welcome to a series of insights to the hustle-and-bustling life of a single working mom of twins. This blog is a collection of thoughts and life stories that may inspire you to appreciate your own in all aspects: raising kids, work, relationships, and all things in between.

Why would you be interested? I tell you the hard, cold, uninhibited truth. Some may appear unconventional rooted from all-traditional values, some based on good old common sense.

My comfortable beginnings:

I lead a wonderful, pampered childhood; blessed with everything a little girl would ever need and want, which empowered and entitled me to many of the opinions I have now (of course back then I didn’t appreciate many of them). My parents were relatively well off, I studied in the best schools the international education industry could offer -all wildly expensive of course. My parents weren’t stinking rich, they were just following a trail of values passed on by the baby boomers who wholeheartedly believes that investing in your child’s education is the most valuable blessing you can give to them (after a going through a series of losing businesses, betrayals, and unstable income themselves, so getting the best education and a stable job/position is the way to go). I’ll talk more about this later on.

After getting my  International Baccalaureate Diploma from an international school in Jakarta, I proceeded to university in the last place I applied to: the University of the Philippines, in a country foreign to me but of where half my blood and nationality originates -and ironically where my new life begins.
